Mother of PSA detainee passes away | KNO

The mother of PSA detainee Muhammad Shafi from Beerwah town in Budgam district breathed her last at SKIMS Soura here on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Hajira Bano (50) whose son was arrested on September 7 and later booked under PSA on September 11. According to her family members, the detention of her son became cause of her deteriorating health as she was not keeping well earlier as well. “She was eager to meet her son who has been shifted to Kotbalwal Jail Jammu. She was admitted in SKIMS and was diagnosed with blood cancer,” said Abid Wani, cousin of Shafi. “She was yearning to see her elder son but we couldn’t move her to Jammu in such condition.” Pertinently, three people have been booked under PSA in Beerwah town.
